Do you hear that voice?

Be Still . . .

Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”
(Isaiah 30:21 (NIV))

Do you hear that voice?

It is there!

The voice of the Holy Spirit is with each and every one of us. The only problem is that we don’t always hear it! We are so inundated with distractions that we don’t always recognize that still, small voice that God uses to talk to those who truly desire to hear His voice.

The spirit is willing, but the body is weak.
(Mark 14:18b (NIV))

Jesus said these words to His disciples in the Garden of Gethsemene, but they can apply to each of us today. In our hearts, we desire to do what God wants us to do, but in our physical existence, we are not capable of following what our spirit knows that the Holy Spirit is telling us. We ARE weak!

It is my desire to be able to discern God’s still, small voice at all times. I long to be able to hear Him say to me, “This is the way; walk in it.” There is nothing more that I desire. Unfortunately, my frail humanity takes control far too often. It leaves me lacking and wondering where God is. My human frailties will not always allow me to hear God’s direction upon my life. I am earnestly seeking that ability. Some days are better than others. With God’s grace, I will be able to hear and follow.

Do you hear that voice?

Listen closely.

He is there!
