When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed his right hand on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last. I am the Living One; I was dead, and behold I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.
(Revelation 1:17-18 (NIV))

John had walked with Jesus for almost three years when He was on this earth. After the three years, it is feasible to imagine that they were more than friends, yet, when John saw the Glorified Jesus, he fell at His feet out of fear.

Even when this happened, Jesus had the same compassion that He had when he walked among us. His calming words reassured John, and all believers throughout history, that he had nothing to fear.

Jesus, our Lord and Savior, holds the keys to death and Hades, and only He has been given the authority to control them. Jesus has truly overcome death by being the one who is in control of it. Salvation is guaranteed to those who trust in Jesus as his or her personal Lord and Savior.

Is your salvation guaranteed through Him who grants salvation?

Have you placed your faith in the Living One?

Are you with Him or are you against Him?

He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me scatters.
(Matthew 12:30 (NIV))

These words are straight from Jesus! Either you proclaim Him as your Lord and Savior or you are cast eternally away from God!

Nothing could be clearer!

Jesus is more than a good man. Jesus is more than a prophet. Jesus is the only way to gain salvation and eternal life. Jesus is the only begotten Son of God and the only one who has the authority to die as an atoning sacrifice for your sins. You either claim that gift of grace and mercy or you suffer the consequences.

Do you know someone who has not come to this realization? Have you come to it yourself?

Don’t let the world distract you and keep you from this all important decision.

Who do you say that Jesus is?

Carefully examine your life before you answer. Are you with Him or are you against Him? Your answer has eternal ramifications.
