Are your actions Christ-like, or are they worldly?

God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.

Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,

though its waters roar and foam
and the mountains quake with their surging.
Selah
(Psalms 46:1-3 (NIV))

Isn’t it great to trust in the Lord our God? What else can provide what the psalmist wrote about? We, as believers, have a champion in our corner who can defeat whatever we face. His armies are many and His power is mighty, yet, He is merciful and forgiving. God IS in control. We must never forget or doubt this. We have an advantage, after all, we have read the Book. We have the last chapter to confirm who wins. We are on the winning side.

It is our responsibility to “recruit” others for God. We must tell others about our strength and our salvation. They must see Jesus in us in such a way that it is obvious that it is not of our own doing. I don’t know who said it, but this is very appropriate, “In all things, preach the Gospel. If you have to, use words.” Actions do speak louder than words.

What are your actions saying to others? Are they Christ-like, or are they worldly? What are your priorities and your actions going to be today?
