Be Still . . .

I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, As much as in all riches.
(Psalms 119:14 (NAS))
What good do riches do? They will be lost or turn to dust. They will turn friends into bitter enemies. They will turn enemies into fake friends. Do not rejoice in what riches bring!
Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
The Word of God is the ultimate treasure. God is the same yesterday, today and forever. He does not change. He is truth. When we read about what God has done or what He has said He will do, it is as good as done. God cannot lie. He cannot do anything that is against His nature. His “testimonies” are written in His Word. We can rejoice in the faith, and the fact, that all that God promises will come true.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Jesus is the Word of God made flesh. Jesus is God’s testimony to us. Jesus is the Truth because everything that God speaks is true. Jesus is the Word made flesh. Jesus is truth among us!
That is something to rejoice about!
