Be Still . . .

`In the last days, God says,
I will pour out my Spirit on all people.
Your sons and daughters will prophesy,
your young men will see visions,
your old men will dream dreams.
Even on my servants, both men and women,
I will pour out my Spirit in those days,
and they will prophesy.
I will show wonders in the heaven above
and signs on the earth below,
blood and fire and billows of smoke.
The sun will be turned to darkness
and the moon to blood
before the coming of the great and glorious day of the Lord.
And everyone who calls
on the name of the Lord will be saved.’
(Acts 2:17-21 (NIV))
The times that this speaks of sound wonderous and perilous at the same time.
God has given us insight into what is to come. We must read and understand. We must teach others to understand. God has not given us a spirit of fear. He has blessed us with His Spirit, and through His Spirit, we must proclaim the Truth to all who will hear. We do not know when these things will come to pass. We only know that they will. Some people believe that we are in the beginning of these times now. If that is the case, we must not delay from what we now we must do. If it is not the time, we must still spread the Good News – that God sent a Savior and His name is Jesus, and that everyone who calls on His name, and His name alone, will be saved.
Are you calling on the right name?
